It's time to celebrate :)
31 August.. ding ding
I'm presenting five blogs in this special day, let's start
1- le batteur noble
it's a lebanese blog, most of its recent posts give shots of lebanon after the 33 days war. Nobilis tobilis -the blog writer- says in one of his posts:
Hi again. I know it's been a long time. The fact is that I've been volunteering in Beirut, helping in the relief efforts for the displaced people and also working on independent projects, mainly a project pertaining to the mental health among the displaced people in Beirut during this war. I had many findings from visiting and meeting the displaced people. The war in general has changed my perspective to my country. Well, Lebanon is not only the Downtown Beirut.
ok.. stop it, i'll let know more just visit : le batteur noble
2- STOP DESTROYING LEBANON
Well, such a cry. This blog depends only on photos of Lebanonn after war, lots of them. You can see ISRAELI GIFTS BEFORE CEASE FIRE as one of the blog's titles says.
visit: STOP DESTROYING LEBANON
3- Cold Desert
Our third blog, A Lebanese blog... suffering the consequences of the Israeli war on Lebanon started. that's what this blog's writer says about his blog. find out more just serve the: Cold Desert
4- Gad Fly
You know, blogging is just great. Fadi -from Beirut- says: This blog was conceived at a time of war, when Israel is fighting Lebanon. We have to fight, and next, we have to win.
see how blogging can be the voice of voiceless!
Fadi believes that UN is not for United Nations, but for Unjust ,UNfair, UNethical or UNpardonable
funny?! ok then find out what USA stands for :)) take a look: Gad Fly
5- PASSING FOR NORMAL...
Mirvat, a lebanese girl describes how she feels about Lebanon, and how Lebanon is like a heaven and a father to her.
well, she says:
n these difficult times, the collective human psyche tends to clench up in an almost regressive state of extreme nationalism and social identity. I have never seen an overt celebration of Lebanon and a severe state of nostalgia and longing and belonging as I have seen since June 12. As we religiously reminisce about details and feelings and memories that we cherish and share, we might be mistaken to be living a sentimental bourgeois dream that only remains in our consciousness and that does not reflect the reality. Just like Fairuz songs. We have transcended from the bleak reality and imagery and evoked our mental treasures of what we see Lebanon was, is and should be. Maybe it is our way of locking the memory and preserving It from destruction. Maybe it is a foolish dream. Maybe it is a state of mind. So be it. Lebanon is and will remain the Levant of cultures, humanity, arts, love and our identity. It is heaven on earth but mostly it is the heaven in our hearts.
Lebanon is my father. Tough, old and dignified. Beirut is my mother. Warm, ageless and beautiful.
In this particular post, many lebanese bloggers describe how they feel about Lebanon, then you better go go go go now, read what they say here where Mirvat PASSING FOR NORMAL...
